@turning_bytes on Instagram
I created an Instagram account to better connect with fellow woodturners and woodworkers. I had been primarily getting inspiration from people on Youtube, but I've been blown away by the creativity and community of so many woodturners on Instagram. While I tend to not use social media, I decided to try it out and see how it goes.
Being able to share my progress and teach others what I know (as little as that might be) is really rewarding to me.
I'll try this experiment for a few months. I hope to eventually be at the point to sell some of my woodturning projects (e.g. Etsy or something else). To do that, you have to build an audience and market for your work. Hopefully this first step is positive.
